Equality Objectives

Last updated: July 2025
Next full review due: Summer 2026

At St Paul’s CofE Primary School & Nursery, we are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for all pupils, staff and families. We comply with the Equality Act 2010 and set measurable objectives which are reviewed at least every four years.

Our current Equality Objectives are:

  1. Year-on-year increase in the percentage of boys achieving expected standards in reading, writing and maths.

  2. Year-on-year reduction in the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers.

  3. Reduce persistent absenteeism among disadvantaged pupils to be in line with non-disadvantaged peers/national average by 2025.

  4. Ensure all SEND pupils make at least good progress from their starting points.

  5. Train staff in Therapeutic Thinking to reduce suspensions for pupils with protected characteristics.
